Attraction

Bhimkund Point

Bhimkund is a Natural blue water tank located at a distance of around 78 km from Chhattarpur district, on the way from Chikhaldara to Pratwada. An old mythological goes that Bhim killed Kichaka and threw him in this valley, giving it the name Kichakdara. He then took a bath in the nearby lake and it is thus called 'Bhimkund'. It is believed that the depth of Bhimkund can't be measured and locals observed the water level of Bhimkund rising to 30 metres when the Tsunami hit the shoreline in 2004.

Attraction

Shakkar Lake

There is an ancient cave temple named Devi Point. The temple is located by the bank of one of the lakes called Shakkar Talav, and the resident deity has no name and is known simply as 'Devi'. An underground cave temple, supposedly formed naturally, has water drizzling from its roof all through the year. Until a few years ago, the temple was completely natural, devoid of any modern paraphernalia like tiles. The tank had sweet water, hence the name Shakkar or Sugar Lake. Now used for boating.
